Paper plugin
Add it as a plugin on your mc server.
- Needs an additional allocated port
- Paper or Purpur 1.21.11+
- Run
/mcproxyin game or in the console
McProxy runs a private SOCKS5 and HTTP/HTTPS proxy on your Minecraft server’s connection. Install the Paper or Purpur plugin, or run the standalone JAR on Java 21+.
Apps log in to McProxy, and their traffic leaves from your server.
It is the same proxy either way. The only difference is whether Minecraft runs next to it.
Add it as a plugin on your mc server.
/mcproxy in game or in the consoleRun it as the server JAR itself.
Both downloads do the same things.
SOCKS5, HTTP and HTTPS all answer on the same port. UDP goes through SOCKS5 on the same number.
A random 43-character password is generated for you. There is no way to run it without a login.
Change the port, the password or UDP from the console and it applies right away.
On Pterodactyl and Pelican the standalone JAR picks up your allocated port by itself.
Clients cannot reach localhost or LAN addresses behind your server unless you allow it.
64 connections at once and 8 per IP by default, and you can lock it to your own IP addresses.
Add the JAR to your Paper or Purpur server’s plugins folder.
Start Minecraft, then run mcproxy setport with an extra allocated port.
Use the server IP, the proxy port and the generated login in your proxy client.
Put the JAR in your server root and select it as your egg’s server JAR.
Use Java 21+. On Pterodactyl, McProxy picks up SERVER_PORT by itself.
Open mcproxy.properties, then enter the server address and login in your proxy client.

It routes traffic from proxy-capable apps through your server’s outbound internet connection. You get a password-protected SOCKS5, HTTP and HTTPS proxy on your own server.
The plugin if you want a proxy while Minecraft keeps running. It needs an extra allocated port. The standalone JAR if you want to turn a whole Java server slot into McProxy, using its main port.
Yes. For standalone, upload the JAR, choose Java 21+ and set SERVER_JARFILE to its file name. McProxy reads the allocated SERVER_PORT by itself. Your host has to allow proxy traffic, and UDP if you use it.
McProxy generates a password on first start. For the plugin, open plugins/MCProxy/config.yml. For standalone, open mcproxy.properties. It is saved there and never printed in the console.
Use http://IP:PORT as the proxy for both HTTP and HTTPS sites. HTTPS stays encrypted through a CONNECT tunnel. UDP needs a client with SOCKS5 UDP support and a host that allows it.
Neither. It is an application proxy: only apps you point at it use it, and it does not move players between servers like Velocity does. The standalone JAR does not host a world.
Only with your login. There is no open mode, the generated password is long and random, and you can limit the proxy to your own IP addresses in the config.
It is still in the config file. To get a new one, run mcproxy newpassword and read it from the same file. All commands are on the commands page.
